Terms of Service
1. The Service
JustHereToListen.io provides an API and dashboard that send an automated assistant ("the bot") into video meetings to record, transcribe, and analyse them, and to deliver the results to you via the API, webhooks, email, and integrations.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials and API keys secure.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and API keys.
- You must be legally able to enter into these Terms.
3. Your responsibilities when recording
This is the most important part of these Terms. You are solely responsible for the lawful use of the bot, including:
- Authority: only sending the bot into meetings you are entitled to record.
- Consent & notice: obtaining any consent and providing any notice required by law in the jurisdictions of all participants. Recording without required consent may be unlawful. Our default in-meeting consent announcement is a convenience, not legal advice, and does not relieve you of this obligation.
- Content: not using the Service to capture content you have no right to capture, or for any unlawful, harassing, or infringing purpose.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your failure to meet these responsibilities.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: reverse-engineer or disrupt the Service; exceed documented rate limits or circumvent access controls; resell the Service without authorisation; or use it to violate the rights of others or any applicable law.
5. Billing, credits, and refunds
- The Service runs on pre-funded credits. Credits are deducted automatically per bot run as described in the dashboard and API documentation.
- Prices and plan limits are shown in the dashboard and may change with notice.
- Except where required by law, purchased credits are non-refundable. Unused credits do not expire unless stated otherwise.
- You are responsible for any taxes other than those based on our net income.
6. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties (e.g. meeting platforms, Anthropic, Google, Stripe, and any integrations you connect). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
7. Intellectual property
You retain all rights to your meeting content and the outputs generated for you. You grant us the limited rights necessary to operate the Service and produce those outputs. We retain all rights to the Service itself.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated transcripts and analysis may contain errors and should not be relied upon as a verbatim or legal record. We do not warrant that the bot will successfully join every meeting or that output will be accurate or complete.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to comply with law. On termination, your data is handled per our Privacy Policy and retention settings.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The operator's governing jurisdiction and venue are specified in the operator's published business information.
